It is recommended that PowerBuilder IDE, PowerBuilder Runtime, PowerServer Toolkit, and PowerBuilder Utilities are the same version and build.

For detailed system requirements, refer to Installation Guide for PowerBuilder IDE > System Requirements.

Note

You must have administrator privileges to run the PowerBuilder Installer and install some components.

Hardware:

  • Intel or AMD processor

    ARM and other processors are NOT supported.

Install the following

If you want to

  • Windows 11 or 10 (Version 1607 or later)

  • PowerBuilder IDE 2025

  • PowerBuilder Runtime 2025

  • PowerServer Toolkit 2025

Build, deploy, and publish the PowerServer project in PowerBuilder IDE

  • Windows 11 or 10 (Version 1607 or later), or Windows Server 2022, 2019, or 2016

  • PowerBuilder Utilities 2025 (PBAutoBuild250.exe is included in PowerBuilder Utilities)

  • PowerBuilder Runtime 2025

  • PowerServer Toolkit 2025

Build and deploy the PowerServer project using PBAutoBuild250.exe

(The PBAutoBuild250.exe tool can automate the entire build and deploy process outside PowerBuilder IDE (without needing any PowerBuilder license).)

  • Windows 11 or 10 (Version 1607 or later)

  • SnapDevelop 2025 or Visual Studio 2019/2022

    The computer must be able to connect to the NuGet site (https://www.nuget.org), in order to download the packages required for compilation.

Modify and compile the PowerServer Web APIs
