Installing PowerBuilder Compiler

Note

PowerBuilder Compiler is considered obsolete starting from PowerBuilder 2022. You should use PBAutoBuild instead.

PowerBuilder Compiler can be installed through the PowerBuilder Installer.

To install PowerBuilder Compiler:

  1. Run the PowerBuilder Installer (you must have administrator privileges to run the installer).

  2. Click Install/Modify or Update and then select PowerBuilder Utilities in the Programs tab and then click Install or Update.

The PowerBuilder Utilities setup program does not support upgrade installation.

To silently install PowerBuilder Utilities, you can download its offline installation package and then run the following command:

PowerBuilderUtilities.exe /s

Software requirements

PowerBuilder Runtime must be installed first before you can install PowerBuilder Compiler, as PowerBuilder Compiler requires a runtime to run.
