CursorLib

Description

Specifies the cursor library to use when connecting to an ODBC data source.

Applies to

ODBC (if driver and back-end DBMS support this feature)

Syntax

CursorLib='value'

Parameter

Description

value

The cursor library to use when connecting to an ODBC data source. Values are:

  • ODBC_Cur_Lib

    Use the ODBC Version 2.0 or higher cursor library.

  • If_Needed

    Use the ODBC Version 2.0 or higher cursor library if your ODBC driver does not support cursors.

  • Driver_Cursors

    (Default) Use your data source's native cursor support.


Default value

CursorLib='Driver_Cursors'

Examples

To specify use of the ODBC Version 2.0 or higher cursor library when connecting to an ODBC data source:

  • Database profile

    Select Cursor Library from the Cursor Library drop-down list on the Transaction page in the Database Profile Setup dialog box.

  • Application

    Type the following in code:

    SQLCA.DBParm="CursorLib='ODBC_Cur_Lib'"
