Starting with the 2025 release, Extended Validation (EV) Code Signing Certificates are introduced to enhance software trust and integrity. This brings two key improvements:
-
Trusted Signing of Product Components
All product installer .exe files and runtime .dll libraries are now signed using an EV code signing certificate, providing stronger authentication and reducing the likelihood of security warnings during installation.
-
Support for Signing Your Applications
You can now use EV code signing certificates to sign your client/server applications, as well as PowerClient and PowerServer applications, improving end-user trust and compatibility with modern security policies. the section called “Security page” in Users Guide provides examples for how to sign the application with an EV code signing certificate.
